2019 IBA Annual Convention

The Indiana Bankers Association held its Annual Convention Sunday, September 15 through Tuesday, September 17 at the French Lick Resort in French Lick, IN.

Cash-Pro was among about forty other banking industry vendor who exhibited at the conference.

The convention opened on Sunday morning with a golf-tournament with the reception and Chairman's Banquet later in the evening.

Monday morning's events included breakfast in the Exhibit Hall and the presentations "Growth Strategies that Motivate People and Produce Meaningful Results" given by Joe Micallef, an Industry Leader Session with Jeffrey M. Szyperski, "Remaining Relevant in a Digital Banking World" by Dave Martin, and an Industry Leader Session with Noah Wilcox.

Lucas White, president of The Fountain Trust Company, Covington, was elected the 2020 IBA Chairman during lunch.

Kevin Kush, head coach Boys Town High School and ABC News "Person of the Week," spoke on turning an office of employees into a cohesive team in his presentation "Eight Traits of a Quality Teammate."

The afternoon's events consisted of presentations the presentations "Hunting Down High Potential Talent + Future Leaders" by Heather Haas and "Strategies for Independence and the Importance of Shareholder Liquidity" by Charles R. Crowley and Christopher M. Chapman with cookies and cocktails served in the exhibit hall in between.

Monday closed with a cocktail reception and the Future Leadership Division PAC Auction and Dinner.

Tuesdays events consisted of the presentations "Crisis Leadership" from Lt. Col. Robert J. Darling, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.), "Payment Trends & Fintech Disruptors" from Tony DeSanctis, and "Banking the Hemp Industry" from Gary Lax.

Kirby D. Drey, CEO and President of Kentland Bank, won the TV in Cash-Pro's giveaway in the drawing on Tuesday.
